December 15, 2014 – Helsinki-based Collaboration Objects Software announces the launch of the Collaboration Objects platform, aims to increase worker connectivity and productivity by becoming the standard workplace communication app for enterprises.
Developed by Finnish entrepreneurs Amos Ahola and Tuomas Jaanu, Collaboration Objects is an all-in-one, cross-enterprise collaboration platform for doing and managing “knowledge work” that also acts as a social intranet, and as a lightweight project and customer relations management tool.
“Knowledge Workers” can now gain a contextual perspective by being able to organize specific sections of the business’ operations right from their dashboard — such as customers, teams, products, suppliers, and projects. Through this centralized interface, users can also enjoy effective communication channels with other members of the team, collaborative calendar management, and search all the content.
Access to Collaboration Objects’ suite of features can also be granted to external users.
Defined as people who “think for a living”, the hundreds of millions of estimated Knowledge Workers around the world include software engineers, doctors, architects, and engineers that problem-solve and think creatively.
“The interesting dynamic of Knowledge Workers in any field is that they tend to self manage, even if they are working within a team. This means that everybody is problem solving in their own individual way and at their own pace, which can sometimes lead to inefficient project collaboration and communication,” says Co-founder and CEO of Collaboration Object Amos Ahola, a Senior Manager responsible for the online communication channels of multi-billion Finnish corporation Wärtsilä. “In order to optimize productivity, and bring transparency to communications and project management we have designed a platform that compliments the dynamics of knowledge workers, who roughly spend 50% of their time engaging via email or searching databases for information,” he adds.
By offering an affordable alternative to costly CRM tools, Ahola explains, any new or established businesses can use Collaboration Objects’ intuitive navigation to improve workplace transparency and management without losing the usability and effectiveness of traditional email clients.
As digital CRM and similar solutions become an increasingly vital part of any business, whether they are a new venture or an established company, more managers and team members are seeing the benefits of these organizational tools to foster growth. According to Forbes, CRM system’s worldwide market grew from $16B to $18B from 2011 to 2012.
“In the consumer sphere, social media has all but killed email as people turn to the more attractive and efficient forms of IM-style communication. However, unless they are expensive CRM solutions, fast and simple communication platforms have largely been unavailable for businesses or organizations,” explains Co-founder of Collaboration Objects Tuomas Jaanu. “The enterprise collaboration tools on the market today have only added an extra layer of communication and complexity to the working process of both teams and managers. We aim to correct that through our centralized platform that can be shaped to a company’s needs,” he adds.
Users, businesses, and any organization can sign up for the basic Collaborative Objects platform through the website for free. Alternatively, customers can get the monthly Pro Plan and pay $6 (€5) per user or get the Enterprise Plan with unlimited usage for $1230 (€1000) per month.
Now with the launch of the new Collaboration Objects cross-enterprise platform, businesses anywhere in the world will be able to enjoy an affordable and powerful organizational tool that understands the contextual dynamics of Knowledge Workers, and optimizes the management and communication of any workplace.
